Syria's monitors under scrutiny by Arab League

With the violence in Syria showing no sign of abating, foreign ministers from Arab League countries are due to meet in Egypt to discuss the future of their monitoring mission.

Around 150 monitors have been in Syria for the last two weeks to try to assess whether president Bashar al-Assad is implementing a peace plan, but their effectiveness has been widely questioned.
