Egypt presidential candidates disqualified

The Egyptian Electoral Commission has disqualified 10 of the 23 candidates standing in the presidential elections, including several of the favourites.

The Muslim Brotherhood candidate Khairat al-Shater and former intelligence agency chief Omar Suleiman are among those struck from the race for alleged infringements of electoral law.
