Roadside bomb explodes near UN convoy in Syria

A roadside bomb has exploded near United Nations ceasefire monitors in the southern Syrian town of Deraa.

The 13 UN observers who were in the convoy were unhurt, but at least six Syrian soldiers in their escort were wounded.

The BBC's Rupert Wingfield-Hayes, who is in Beirut, described what happened.
