Damascus blast scene 'like a wasteland', says BBC reporter

The BBC's Lyse Doucet has described the scene in Damascus where two explosions killed scores of people and wounded 170.

She said there were two huge craters and it looked like a wasteland.

She said whoever was behind the blasts wanted to cause the maximum damage, as it happened at a time when people were driving to work and children were going to school.
