British photographer tells of life in the Syrian capital

The crisis in Syria is deepening following another veto on further sanctions by Russia and China. The United States says it is now planning to go it alone in dealing with the Assad regime.

Meanwhile Syrian rebels captured a number of positions on the country's borders with Turkey and Iraq and fighting in Damascus has intensified.

British photographer John Wreford has lived in the city since 2003 and told 5 liveUp All Night's Dotun Adebayo what the last few days have been like.
