Cindy Corrie: 'A bad day for humanity'

An Israeli court has rejected a claim for compensation from the parents of an American peace activist who was crushed to death by an Israeli army bulldozer.

Rachel Corrie, who was 23, died while trying to stop Israel demolishing Palestinian homes in the Gaza Strip in 2003.

Speaking from the court in Haifa, Rachel Corrie's mother, Cindy Corrie said: ''This was a bad day for humanity''.
