Middle East crisis to dominate UN gathering

Discussions at the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly are set to be overshadowed by the multiple crises unfolding in the Middle East.

The Syria conflict, the ongoing dispute over Iran's nuclear programme and violent protests against an anti-Islam video are expected to dominate the talks.
