Workshop set up to preserve Iraq’s historical documents

A workshop has been set up in Iraq to restore and preserve historical documents left over from Saddam Hussein's regime.

Tens of thousands of sensitive documents made their way into the hands of the US Pentagon and CIA as well Iraqi political parties and journalists after the fall of Baghdad in 2003.

Archivists hope that taking back the papers will help give the people of Iraq a sense of closure on their troubled past.

Murad Shishani reports.
