Syria crisis: Russia is 'ready to talk' to opposition

Russia says it is ready to talk to the head of the opposition Syrian National Coalition.

The announcement has been made despite Moscow's close links to the Syrian government.

Russia has stepped up its efforts to end the crisis in recent days, and the foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, will hold talks with the UN-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi on Saturday.

James Reynolds reports from neighbouring Turkey.
