Syrian president would respond to future Israel attacks

The Syrian president has said that his country would respond to any future attacks on its territory by Israel.

Speaking to Hezbollah-linked al-Manar TV, Bashar al-Assad said there was pressure to open a military front against Israel on the Golan Heights.

Israel has already carried out three air strikes on Syria to stop the transfer of advanced weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
