Syria: Save the Children calls situation horrific

United Nations aid agencies are making the largest appeal in the organisation's history, to help fund the relief effort in Syria and neighbouring countries.

They are asking for an extra £2.5billion this year as the UN predicts a dramatic rise in the number of refugees.

The Programme Director for Save the Children in Lebanon, Sonia Zambakides, recounted the experience of a 13-year-old Syrian girl who had sought help.
