Muslim Brotherhood outraged by deaths in Cairo

The Foreign Secretary William Hague has condemned the use of force by the authorities in Egypt.

Supporters of the ousted president, Mohammed Morsi, say the security forces killed at least 120 people during overnight protests in Cairo.

An Egyptian television station is reporting that the Health Ministry says only 38 people were killed.

Many of those killed were shot near a mosque, where the Muslim Brotherhood were holding a sit-in protest.

Mona al-Qazzaz, a spokesperson for the Muslim Brotherhood in the UK, said she was outraged at the deaths and called for the international community to step in.
