UK urges 'serious response' on Syria

UK Foreign Secretary William Hague says the British government is "clear" that the Syrian government was behind Wednesday's suspected chemical attack in Damascus.

Mr Hague added that the regime's delay in allowing weapons inspectors to the site may have jeopardised any evidence there.

He said Prime Minister David Cameron had spoken with President Barack Obama and that both agree there must be a 'serious response.'
