Iran nuclear talks at 'highest level' at UN

US Secretary of State John Kerry has met Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif for talks on Iran's nuclear programme.

Both sides declared their satisfaction with the meeting and agreed to hold substantive talks on the issue in Switzerland, beginning on 15 October.

The BBC's Middle East editor Jeremy Bowen reports from from the United Nations in New York.
