Freak sandstorm hits Iranian capital

A massive sandstorm and record winds killed several people in Tehran, plunging the Iranian capital into darkness.

Buildings were damaged and massive disruption caused as debris and fallen trees swept across streets.

State media reported 110 km/h (70 mph) winds.
