Syria crisis: 'As long as Assad stays, we fight'

In northern Syria, Islamist fighters allied to al-Qaeda and Isis dominate opposition forces, but close to the capital Damascus the battle against President Assad is still being fought by the Free Syrian Army.

At one time the FSA was seen as a legitimate alternative to the government - but the recent increase of jihadist fighters in opposition ranks has unnerved international support.

Middle East Editor Jeremy Bowen and cameraman Nik Millard crossed from regime-held territory in Damascus to the suburb of Qaboun to witness the continuing conflict.
