Up to 53 bodies found south of Baghdad

Iraqi officials say they have found at least 50 bullet-ridden bodies, many blindfolded and with their hands bound.

They were discovered outside Hillah, a predominantly Shia city, south of the capital Baghdad.

The BBC's Rafid Jaboori who is in Baghdad, says it is very alarming.
