Iran nuclear talks: Diplomats ponder extending deadline

The United States has told Iran it is time to consider extending Monday's deadline for a deal on Tehran's nuclear programme.

Officials say US Secretary of State John Kerry made the proposal to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during negotiations in Vienna.

The US denied an earlier suggestion by Iran that a partial, political agreement was close.
