Syria conflict: Rebel groups launch Aleppo offensive

Rebel groups in Syria have launched a major offensive to try to break the government siege of opposition-held eastern Aleppo, the city at the heart of Syria's civil war.

Hundreds of missiles have been fired at government-held positions by rebel groups in a co-ordinated assault.
