Iran tests satellite rocket

Iran says it has launched a rocket that can deliver satellites into orbit from a new space centre in Semnan in northern Iran.

The US described the test as provocative.

It comes days after the US imposed new economic sanctions on Tehran over its ballistic missile programme.
