Karim lost an eye when artillery shells struck a market in the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta area.

He is among the many sick and injured people waiting to leave the besieged enclave; 400,000 people are trapped in the rebel-held area.

So far, aid workers have been allowed to move four children.
