Building damaged in suspected gas explosion killing one

A suspected natural gas explosion in Los Angeles has damaged a two-storey building, killing at least one person, it has been reported.

Fire officials say the explosion took place at 6.15am and shook the building, hurling people into the street. At least one person was pinned under the axle of a car, they say.
