CCTV 'shows air steward's emergency exit'

New footage has been released of the moment an air steward allegedly made a quick exit from a plane using the emergency chute.

Steven Slater reportedly had an argument with a traveller who had ignored his instructions to remain seated after a flight to JFK airport in New York.

The footage shows the airliner's door opening, then the emergency chute inflates and someone appears to slide down it.

The footage was taken on 9 August.

Slater has been charged with criminal mischief, trespassing and reckless endangerment.
