Police hunt marijuana crops in California's hills

California is considering legalising marijuana in order to tax it and earn revenue for the state.

In a less than two weeks voters will decide if small amounts of cannabis for personal use should be allowed and polls suggest it will be a close race.

Currently the illicit cannabis industry is worth billions of pounds a year and the scheme is seen as a way to help close a huge gap in the state's finances.

BBC News went on a raid with Captain Ralph Ornelas of the LA County Sheriff's Department Bureau of Narcotics.
