Highjacked US couple 'dedicated to serving mankind'

Friends of US couple Jean and Scott Adam, who were killed by Somali pirates off the coast of Oman, have paid tribute to them.

The couple were sailing on their 58ft yacht along with a Seattle couple, Bob Riggle and Phyllis Macay, distributing Bibles.

Gary Deitsch, from Del Rey Yacht Club, which was the couple's home port, said they were ''wonderful'' people who were ''dedicated to serving mankind''.

Dede Allen, a friend of the couple, said they liked to meet people in the countries they sailed to.
