Trayvon Martin's family makes statement

A Florida neighbourhood watchman has been charged with second degree murder over the shooting of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin.

George Zimmerman turned himself in on Wednesday, a special prosecutor said.

The decision to bring charges against Mr Zimmerman was taken by prosecutor Angela Corey, after she decided not to seek a grand jury review of the case.

The family of Trayvon Martin is making a statement in response.
