Christopher Tappin on 'terrible' US extradition ordeal

When Christopher Tappin was extradited to the US earlier this year on charges of arms dealing, it re-ignited the row over whether the UK hands over its citizens to other countries too easily.

The retired British businessman has now spoken about his ordeal, describing his first 10 days in solitary confinement as "terrible".

Mr Tappin, 65, from Orpington, south-east London, was released on bail of $1m (£620,000) earlier this week.

David Willis reports.
