Clinton: US suspends sanctions on Burma

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has announced that Washington is suspending sanctions against Burma and allowing US businesses to invest in the country.

But she made it clear that the suspension of sanctions was on condition of continuing reform in Burma and they could easily be re-imposed if necessary.

She said the goal was to move quickly to expand business and investment opportunities.
