Widespread condemnation of prison officer murder
Ministers in Northern Ireland have condemned of the murder of a prison officer in County Armagh.
David Black, 52, was attacked on the motorway between Portadown and Lurgan at about 07:30 GMT as he drove to work at the high security Maghaberry Prison, County Antrim.
Assistant Chief Constable Drew Harris said Mr Black sustained very serious and probably fatal gunshot wounds as a car with Dublin registration plates drove up beside him and a number of shots were fired.
The car believed to have been involved was later found burned out at Inglewood, Lurgan, County Armagh.
