White House turns spooky for Halloween

Giant black spiders, webs and pumpkins transformed the White House for Halloween, as US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, dressed in orange and black, handed out gifts to children.

The festivities marked the return of an annual tradition which was cancelled last year because of Hurricane Sandy, which wrought destruction on the US east coast.
