US snowstorms: Buffalo man captures blanketed neighbourhood

A massive storm has wreaked havoc in the north-eastern US, dumping up to 5ft (1.5m) of snow in some areas.

Residents have been trapped in their homes and cars, with strong winds and icy roads causing motorway accidents and school closures.

Filmmaker James Grimaldi from Buffalo in New York captured aerial footage of his neighbourhood in West Seneka.

He told the BBC's Claire Brennan: "Right now I literally cannot go anywhere in a car... and it's very tough walking in waist-deep snow."
