Pop star Will Young is to star in Living TV's first original UK drama, a "ghostly" six-part series called Bedlam.
The drama is set around a group of flatmates who live in a converted asylum haunted by former patients.
"I'm so excited to be part of Bedlam, the scripts are fantastic and original, as are the other actors involved," said Young.
Living TV is known for shows including Dating in the Dark and Four Weddings.
The series, which will be aired early next year, also stars Ashley Madekwe, who appeared alongside Billie Piper in ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
Bedlam is being produced by Red, the creators of shows including Worried About the Boy, Clocking Off, Casanova and Queer as Folk.
"We've been searching for ages for the right idea to launch Living into original drama and Bedlam is the perfect fit," said Living TV group's head of drama, Claudia Rosencrantz.
"It's sexy, stylish and truly scary. It is about frightening things happening to very beautiful people," she added.
In 2005, Young starred in the film Mrs Henderson Presents alongside Dame Judi Dench.
He also took the lead role in Noel Coward's The Vortex, at Manchester's Royal Exchange, and has appeared in a Miss Marple TV drama as well as an episode of Skins.
