A version of Question Time aimed at a younger audience is to be made into a four programme series on BBC Three.

The series follows on from the success of First Time Voters' Question Time, which was broadcast during the build-up to the General Election.

Young Voters' Question Time will run in October to tie in with the Government's spending review announcement.

BBC Three controller Danny Cohen said he wants to make "young people's views on politics a regular feature".

First Time Voters' Question Time was broadcast in March, and was fronted by X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary.

Satirist Rory Bremner and singer Jamelia appeared on the panel, along with Tim Campbell - the first winner of TV show The Apprentice - and a selection of politicians.
