Listeners will be able to hear live performances on BBC Radio 3 every weekday evening from May.
The London Philharmonic, Manchester's Halle and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales will be among those groups to feature in the Performance on 3 strand.
Full orchestra concerts, recitals and solo performances will be relayed live from a range of venues across the UK.
The BBC said the move demonstrated its "ongoing commitment to Britain's artistic and cultural life".
"Increasing our commitment to live broadcasting to this degree is an unprecedented move," said Radio 3 controller Roger Wright.
"It is exciting to expand our work... and celebrate on a nightly basis the excitement of UK-wide music-making as it happens."
The first season of evening performances will begin on 3 May and continue up to the Proms, which begin on 15 July.
Across the year there will be at least 46 weeks of live concerts in the station's evening schedule, the BBC has pledged.
