EastEnders anniversary spin-off inspired by Gogglebox
The stars of EastEnders are to revisit some of their most famous scenes in a spin-off series in the run-up to the show's 30th anniversary in February.
The actors will watch clips on TV on their characters' sofas in Back To Ours, which has been compared to Channel 4's Gogglebox.
Shane Richie, Jessie Wallace, Diane Parish, Tameka Empson and Rudolph Walker are among those taking part.
Back To Ours will be available on the BBC iPlayer in January and February.
Richie, who plays Alfie Moon, will revisit his biggest stories alongside Wallace, who plays his on-screen wife Kat.
In a statement, he said: "What a wonderful time I had sitting on the sofa with Jessie watching 12 years of Kat and Alfie. We laughed, we cried and we giggled as we remembered the past 12 years."
The soap's anniversary will also see the return of Barbara Windsor as Peggy Mitchell and a live episode which will reveal the identity of Lucy Beale's killer.
EastEnders first aired on BBC One on 19 February 1985.
