Your pictures: Zoos

Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week it is "zoos" and we begin with this photograph, taken by Aidan Forsythe at Edinburgh Zoo.

Maria Marks: "I went to the Toronto Zoo in October to see the pandas, but my real find was a green tree python."

Jasper Dalgliesh: "This was taken at the Hawk Conservation Trust's zoo near Andover, Hampshire. A wonderful opportunity to get up close to so many birds of prey."

Marijke Durieux: "Although interesting, zoo visits can also be exhausting, as we experienced at the San Diego Zoo."

Michael Darling: "Brad the day-old Rothschild's giraffe, with mum Joyce, at the Flamingo Land zoo in Malton, North Yorkshire."

Chandralekha: "I was quite perplexed when I saw the theme and actually contemplated visiting London Zoo to be able to do it justice. It was at this time when I happened to see my daughter playing with her toy animals and teddies. The animals from the zoo are invited to tea by my daughter."

Elodie Curran: "This is a photo of a group of posing penguins that I took at London Zoo a couple of years ago. I thought their positions looked like they were dancing."
