Police and fire services were sent to a fire which destroyed a derelict property in Aberdeen, UK, on Friday night. No one was hurt in the blaze and it is being investigated. Kevin Forbes took this picture, he says "I stay in one of the penthouses opposite and was just enjoying a few beers with friends when we noticed the smoke and heard the fire engines".
This fire at Majestyk Nightclub, in Leeds, Yorkshire, UK, was photographed by BBC News website reader Reuben Speight. Crews from 10 fire engines tackled the blaze at the recently refurbished nightclub.

Fresh scuffles erupted between activists occupying central parts of Hong Kong and riot police, as the protest movement entered its second week.
