Every year in January, local and foreign tourists celebrate the Sinulog Festival in Cebu City, Philippines. Sinulog is an annual cultural and religious festival in which colourful performances take place. Photo: Rolan Emil Garcia.
Jyoti Omi Chowdhury took this picture from the march in honour of Hrant Dink in Istanbul, Turkey. Dink was an Armenian journalist who was assassinated by an extreme Turkish nationalist eight years ago. Since his assassination, every year on 19 January people commemorate him and ask for justice about his ongoing trial.
Postgraduate students of University of Nigeria, Nsukka have protested against the increase on school fees and infringement on students' rights. Protestors were photographed by Onochie Frank.
Weather in Scotland was cold and icy this week. The ducks in Monikie Country Park had to wade on the frozen pond. Suzanne Harkness braved the cold to take this photo.
