The police said it was never clear what other ingredients were in illegal substances.

Ch Supt David Boyle said: "The incidents are not believed to be linked, however, these act as a stark reminder to people of the dangers of drug misuse and we are working hard with our partners to raise awareness and prevent further incidents.

Plane lands nose first as student pilot 'panicked'

An aircraft’s nose landing gear partially collapsed and its propeller struck the runway surface, following a bounced landing by a student pilot, a report has found.

Cessna 152
AAIB report

The Cessna 152 was coming in to land at Wycombe Air Park in Buckinghamshire on 4 July when the 23-year-old student started to make "over-corrections" while trying to achieve the correct airspeed.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch report said the instructor saw the aircraft pitching up and down and saw the mainwheels touchdown before the aircraft bounced, with its nose-up. The nose then dropped and the aircraft landed nosewheel-first.

In retrospect, the pilot believed she was unable to control the airspeed adequately during the last part of the approach and, when the aircraft bounced, she panicked slightly.

She had been trained to go around in such circumstances, and she realises this is what she ought to have done, the report said.
