  1. Proposals to ban cars in Birmingham city centre discussed

    Plans which could lead to a ban on cars driving through Birmingham city centre are up for discussion later.

    The city council is meeting to discuss its transport and clean air zone. An update will be given on drivers of high-polluting cars paying to travel into the centre of the city from July.

    The draft Birmingham Transport Plan is expected to signal a ban on cars driving through the city centre and the rollout of 20mph speed limits.

  2. Rail lines blocked between Birmingham and Lichfield

    An incident is blocking rail lines between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield Trent Valley.

    Services are expected to be disrupted until 08:30 with tickets being accepted on local bus routes.

  3. Weather warning for wind issued

    Strong winds on Tuesday could cause disruption to transport and loss of power across the West Midlands, the Met Office is warning.

    A yellow warning for wind has been issued from 12:00 to midnight.

    The storm was named Brendan on Saturday by Irish weather service, Met Éireann.
