    Jeremy Hunt and Boris Johnson are taking questions from Conservative party members in one of the last hustings of the leadership contest.

    With ten days to go until the ballot closes - many members are yet to cast their votes.

  6. Fire crews 'moooo-ve cow' stuck in mud

    A cow "stuck up to its neck" in mud in Somerset, has been rescued by fire crews.

    Specialist animal rescue crews worked for several hours to release the cow from a river in Paulton.

    Avon Fire and Rescue tweeted they had "just herd our udder-ly brilliant crews have done an a-mooo-zing job".

  8. Pride Parade March: the details

    Bristol Pride says 12,000 people joined the Parade March in the city centre in 2018, to "reclaim the streets and be loud and proud".

    So expect some disruption in the city's streets and to traffic today.

    This year the two-mile-long parade starts in Castle Park and winds its way to the Lloyds Amphitheatre, taking about an hour to complete.

    If you want to join in, organisers as that you gather at the east end of Castle Park from 10am for a 10:45am start.

    Buses will be on hand near the amphitheatre to take marchers to the Downs for the main Pride event.

  9. Countdown to Bristol Pride

    Final preparations are being made for tomorrow's Bristol Pride Day.

    It's the city's annual celebration of the LGBT+ community - and after a parade through the city centre, the festival part of the event will take place on The Downs for the first time.

    Last year a record 36,000 people attended Bristol Pride - with organisers expecting an even bigger turnout tomorrow.

  12. Chris Kamara reacts to police e-fit 'lookalike'

    Football pundit Chris Kamara has posted a tongue-in-cheek response to a "lookalike" police e-fit.

    Humberside Police uploaded the suspect image, of a moustached man wearing a hard hat, to its social media accounts on Tuesday.

    It received a raft of responses, with many suggesting it resembled the former professional footballer.

    In response, Kamara, who played for a host of clubs, including Swindon, Brentford, Stoke and Leeds, tweeted a photo of himself wearing DIY gear and urged people not to be alarmed.

  14. Surgery closures leave thousands without a GP

    A petition has been started to try to overturn a decision to close two GP practices in north Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

    Bishopston Medical Practice and Northville Family Practice will shut down for good at the end of September, with 15,000 people left without a GP.

    Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group says it's working hard to ensure patients can re-register elsewhere without putting extra pressure on existing services.
