    Bitterly cold temperatures and snow could cause travel delays and disruption across the West Midlands, the Met Office is warning.

    A yellow warning is in place from 14:00 today, with an amber warning in place from 04:00 tomorrow.

    BBC Weather is warning of possibly hazardous conditions in southern England later in the week as a low pressure weather system moves up from the Bay of Biscay and hits the already "exceptionally cold air".

  2. Corbyn to set out Brexit plan during city trip

    Jeremy Corbyn will set out Labour's position on Brexit during a trip to Coventry today.

    In his speech he's exptected to say the UK should negotiate a bespoke agreement encompassing a strong new relationship with the EU single market, and membership of a customs union.

    The Conservatives have already denounced his proposals - saying they would breach promises made at the last general election.

  6. Sky Blues to wear black armbands for Coventry brothers

    Coventry City players will wear black armbands in their match against Mansfield Town tomorrow in memory of the two brothers who died after being hit by a car, the club says.

    Corey and Casper Platt May, aged six and two, died in Coventry yesterday afternoon.

    Corey had played for Copsewood under-7s Lions since the age of four, last playing for the team on Wednesday night.

  7. Cars stolen after car key burglary

    Two cars were stolen from a property in Kineton, Warwickshire, after thieves stole the keys from a home, police say.

    Warwickshire Police said entry was forced to a property on Hutton Road at about 04:30 on 20 February.

    Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a white van in the area at the time of the incident.

  8. Coventry 'hit-and-run': 'Lives taken away so young'

    The family of Casper and Corey Platt-May, killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash, have been left "traumatised" said their grandfather.

    "Their lives have been taken away so young, it's unbelievable," said Kim May.

    Talking about cars speeding in the area he said: "It's still going on and something needs to be done. It's still going on, the speeding down this road, it's ridiculous."

    "I want them to act straight away something's got to be gone after this terrible accident, I don't want anyone to go through this again."

  11. Coventry 'hit-and-run': Mum pays tribute to her 'amazing' and 'cheeky' boys

    The mother of two boys killed in a suspected hit-and-run in Coventry has paid tribute to her sons.

    Casper and Corey Platt-May, aged two and six, were hit by a car in the Stoke area of Coventry yesterday.

    Corey was an "amazing boy", who "loved school more than any kid I know", said his mother Louise today.

    "He never kept still, always had to be doing something and coming up with new ideas of things to do," she said.

    "His main passion in life was his football. He has been playing for a local team since he was four but since the day he could hold a ball he was never without one.

    "He will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.”

    She described brother Casper as a "cheeky little boy, always getting into trouble and driving his brothers crazy".

    "He was so loving and caring and constantly told his family how much he loved them," she added.

    "He loved walking everywhere with his wellies and splashing in the puddles. His smile could light up any room and he will be so so missed by all who knew him.”
