We've now finished posting news, weather forecasts, and other aspects of Cumbrian life for today and this week.
Here's a reminder of today's main developments:
- A parish poll in Kendal voted heavily against bringing back free parking on the area next to New Road in the town centre, but the turn-out was small and the referendum only advisory, so those in favour of parking said the debate continued;
- In Carlisle, every new inspection of the derelict Central Plaza Hotel seem to find new problems, and by late this afternoon the words being used were "critically dangerous";
- And the river draining England's wettest hillsides dried up after a few weeks without rain (although Mother Nature moved swiftly to make up the deficit).
We'll be back on Tuesday at 08:00 to do it all again.
Have a very good bank holiday weekend.
