The Nottingham Road roundabout was renamed following a vote by Erewash Borough Council last night.

have signed Joe Ironside on an 18-month deal after the striker was released by Sheffield United.

The 21-year-old scored four goals in 16 games for the Reds during a loan spell earlier this season before spending time at Hartlepool United.

Body find not suspicious

Police say a 48-year-old man found dead in a nature reserve yesterday

was a person they had been looking for.

The body was discovered on land near Willowpit Lane in Hilton at about 16:00.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

No comment on gagging order

Derby City Council is refusing to say whether its departing chief executive has signed a gagging order.

Adam Wilkinson's redundancy was announced on Friday and the council says its external auditors are content his £140,000 pay-off represents value for money.

Turbines set to start spinning

Severn Trent's two giant wind turbines in Spondon will soon be operational thanks to the installation of a sophisticated imaging system.

The turbines were switched off because their blades show a similar radar trace to aircraft but the new 3D imaging system can differentiate between the two and feed back the information to air traffic controllers at East Midlands Airport.

but decided he would still go on the honeymoon with whoever bid the most for his ex-partner's ticket.
