Three teenagers hurt in accident

Three teenagers from Derbyshire have been seriously injured after their car left the road and hit a tree in Lincolnshire.

The 18-year-old driver is in a critical condition and an 18-year-old female passenger is in a serious condition at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The condition of a 13-year-old girl taken to Lincoln County Hospital is also described as serious.

Two drivers die in A57 crash

Police have released more details of a fatal accident on the A57 Snake Pass last night.

The driver of a black BMW died in hospital and the driver of a white Honda Civic died at the scene. 

Passengers in both cars were seriously hurt as was the driver of a third car, a silver Honda Civic.

Reports: Ayeeshia's mother attacked in prison

A national newspaper says a Burton mother who murdered her young daughter has been attacked in prison. 

The Mirror says Kathryn Smith, who was jailed for life last month for murdering 21-month-old Ayeeshia Jane Smith, was assaulted by other inmates at Foston Hall Prison.
