Four boys have been rescued from an island in the middle of a pond in Southampton.

They had been using an inflatable dinghy, which sprung a puncture and started to sink. The boys then realised they were nearer the island than the edge of the 50ft pond.
Once they reached the island they contacted Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service who rescued them using an inflatable sled and throw lines.
