  1. Southampton v Bournemouth: MOTD Commentator's notes

    Steve Wilson

    Match of the Day commentator

These two South Coast neighbours have never played a more important match. Southampton's survival almost certainly rests upon them winning this game and their visit to Swansea in early May, at the very least.

They finish their season at home to Manchester City, so good luck if they need to win that.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth are looking for another top-half finish despite having been in the bottom three - five places below Southampton - at Christmas.

Eddie Howe's team have since taken 22 points, compared to Southampton's 10.

  5. Divers' anger at new Poole leisure centre pool plan

A diving club has said it will be forced to fold if town centre regeneration plans go ahead.

Borough of Poole Council has agreed plans for a new leisure centre without a diving pool as part of a £132m revamp.

Members of Wessex Diving Club say they would have to travel to Southampton to use the nearest diving facilities.

The council said it had to be "mindful of the costs involved" as a diving pit would add an extra £2.7m.
