A new £16m swimming pool has opened in Andover - two years after the old leisure centre closed and sparked a row over temporary facilities.
Campaigners held protests following the closure of the pool in Shepherds Spring Lane in March 2017 without any alternative provision in place. Pool users said it forced them to travel to Romsey, Eastleigh or Basingstoke.
Test Valley Borough Council agreed to provide a 25m temporary pool by August 2017, but the date was later put back by the contractor.
The council described the new centre as a "state-of-the-art leisure facility".
