    A teenager who stabbed another boy to death in Leeds is due to be sentenced at Leeds Crown Court today.

    Irfan Wahid, who was 16 years old, died in Harehills in February.

    The teenager who will face a judge today cannot be identified for legal reasons.

  2. Report on HS2 shows 'impact of disruption' on Sheffield station

    Commuters face at least five years of disruption when Sheffield station is expanded for HS2, a presentation by Network Rail says.

    According to the presentation by Network Rail, obtained by the BBC, there'll be disruption to rail passengers, drivers and tram passengers as roads and tracks are moved.

    The document also says an extra platform would be needed but HS2 disputes this saying no significant work is needed.

    Network Rail told the BBC that discussions are continuing about plans to upgrade the station.

  3. LISTEN: 'We feared for our lives' says York couple caught up in Irma

    A couple from York say they feared for their lives as they were trapped by Hurricane Irma in Cuba.

    John Scrowston and Katy Scott had to leave what was meant to be a dream birthday trip to the Caribbean island.

    Katy told BBC Radio York about the moment they realised the storm was coming.

  5. Latest on rail travel this morning

    Trains from stations across Yorkshire all appear to be on time this morning.

    This may not affect you but could be useful if you are due to meet anyone who is travelling along the West Coast main line.

    There's major disruption between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston until the end of service.

    Everything across Yorkshire is running on time.

    A reminder though that trains are not stopping on Northern at Rotherham Central due to engineering works.

    There's a replacement bus service running on Northern between Huddersfield and Penistone because of engineering works.
