Cause of factory fire still to be established
East Midlands Today
Investigations are continuing into a series of explosions and a fire that shut off part of Derby yesterday.
At its height 45 firefighters tackled the blaze at a factory off Enterprise Way after a number of loud bangs were reported around lunchtime, caused by gas cylinders exploding.
Nobody was injured at the factory, which produces rubber matting, but train services were disrupted by the large smoke flume and a number of roads were closed.
